Skyline Enterprises
Audit and Analysis of Food & Beverage operations and facilities in response to the closure of New Zealand's borders to inbound tourists

CASE STUDY
In the latter part of 2020, Skyline Enterprises quickly responded to the closure of New Zealand’s borders to inbound tourists by making adjustments to their Queenstown and Rotorua Gondola facilities. In light of these changes, Skyline Enterprises commissioned an audit to reassess their business strategy, current and future food and beverage plans, and facilities reinvestment.

THE STORY
From the original VW Combi experience to a Worldwide Success: The Evolution of a Kiwi Tourism Icon
This Kiwi tourism business has become an icon by transforming Queenstown’s picturesque scenery into a remarkable hospitality experience for locals and tourists alike.Â
It all started with an adventurous journey up a mountain track in a VW combi van and afternoon teas served from a thermos flask. This adventure then led to the establishment of a mountain cafe, which expanded further with the addition of a Swiss Alps-style gondola and new facilities, and eventually was duplicated in Rotorua.Â
Later, the business expanded with the “Luge” attraction developing in multiple locations worldwide.
