Specialist Hospitality Business Recovery Programme

Get support with up to $2000 of fully funded specialist advice

As a trusted service provider in the Regional Business Partners Network, the government has allocated funding to allow you to get help from me to guide you through these uncertain times. Eligible businesses will get access to fully funded specialist advice up to the value of $2000.

New Regional Business Partner Funding for Specialist 1:1 Support:

The Regional Business Partner Network (RBP) is funded by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) and Callaghan Innovation. The Network aims to assist business growth by providing eligible businesses with specialist advice and support, and funding to enhance business capability including research and development.

The Government has invested $4m into the RBP for COVID-19 support. A $1.5m portion of this has now been allocated to assist with the funding of businesses to access 1-1 support with professionals in the following areas:

  • – HR
  • – Health and Wellness
  • – Business Continuity Planning
  • – Finance and Cashflow Management

To assist as many businesses as possible, the funding has capped the value available to each eligible business to a maximum of $2000 (excluding GST) of fully-funded advice. Eligibility criteria apply. See below.

All businesses that are eligible will receive funding once they have completed registration with the Regional Business Partner Network, and this will cover the whole fee up to $2000. The business can then choose to proceed with a 50% co-funding model once we move out of this crisis if they wish.

To access COVID-19 support with Mark Collins NZ Ltd via the RBP network please fill out the form below and we will send you an email with the application form and process. Alternatively, email Mark at thinking@markcollins.co.nz or call 027 534 0860

To be eligible, your business must meet the following criteria:

  1. You are an employer
  2. Your business was generally sound prior to the COVID-19 challenge and with the right support should survive to provide jobs and income in the future
  3. You do need the financial support from RBPN
  4. The COVID-19 crisis is affecting your business

Business Recovery Support Outline

Depending on your business situation and requirements, here are some of the things we will cover when we work together through the Specialist Hospitality Business Recovery Programme:

  • 1. Establish the current situation, review P&L, cashflow forecast template and create a SWOT analysis
  • 2. Create an Emergency Business response Plan – to make sure you survive 2020
  • 3. Expand the opportunities section and develop strategies in preparation to leverage those as they present themselves. The objective here is to capitalise on your assets and unique situational difference to grow out of survival as opportunities present themselves
  • 4. Identifying critical disciplines and actions you need to take now and going forward

Our support is a mix of consultancy and coaching to help you understand and come to term with your current reality, consider your options, develop a strategy and create a plan.

In some instances, we may only get to create an Emergency plan (2 above) but in others, we will manage to help you develop critical disciplines and actions to improve your progress, in large part it will depend on how your business was being managed before COVID -19 caused this disruption

Your expected outcomes

  • – Understand your current position – Cashflow and Business position SWOT
  • – Identify a list of actions and task that will improve the chance of survival.
  • – Expand on opportunities in the SWOT and create a new strategy for the business
  • – Create a one-page crisis business plan and respective tasks

Recent Testimonials

At the early stages of our business development we enlisted Mark to guide us in the right direction. We have enjoyed massive growth and have multiple sites, and income channels and without his extensive knowledge and guidance we wouldn't be where we are today. He is encouraging, engaged and genuinely cares about our success. Although we don’t like to share, he is an incredible asset to any developing company!!

One of Mark’s strengths is his ability to really challenge you and push your limits. He'll hold you accountable for taking action, even in areas you may not necessarily enjoy or feel particularly good at. He helps you develop your weak points and you can always count on him for an honest, upfront and unique approach to problem-solving.

We engaged Mark to help us with our marketing. We have an aversion to big city consultants, but Mark was far from that. Mark is highly professional and very personable. He is a very likable guy with tons of experience in hospitality.
