Accumulation can be used to create leverage, credibility, and the exponential multiplier that has made many people wealthy past their daily activity.

One of the down sides of accumulation is that it can make you less nimble and that it can sway your judgement because some of your focus is spent trying to protect what ever it is that you have accumulated.

To accumulate in its self doesn’t seem to be a problem, but the effect accumulation has on you will depend significantly on what you have accumulated and why.

When considering why you have set about accumulating something, challenge what was the real motivation, even those that might be less socially acceptable (insecurity, power, control, domination)

It is important to note that if you don’t have a mechanism to dispose of what you have accumulated it could manifest itself into a “loss of freedom”.
